How To Embrace Your Second Spring

Are you ready to embrace your Second Spring? In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the menopause is considered a second spring. It is believed that women’s bodies follow seven-year life cycles; so between the ages of 42 and 48 you prepare for menopause (perimenopause), and then during 49-55, you experience a second spring (menopause), then the years after 56 are considered a rebirth (post-menopause)! But don't be fooled into thinking these stages only happen at these ages!! Wherever you are in your menopause journey, Sara and I are here supporting women to feel at their best. Menopause is coming to 50% of the global population, but most people still don't know what that means for them or the women they love. Perimenopause can start naturally for women in their late thirties or early forties however, the stages of menopause have nothing to do with your age, but everything to do with your fluctuating hormones. This podcast discusses how not knowing the basics about what will happen to our bodies at this stage of life, what the symptoms are, and what help is out there for us, can leave us feeling lost, alone, anxious, and like we are losing our minds. This 40-minute conversation brings to life a real and emotional account of the devastating effects menopause can have and helps women to understand and relate to what might be happening to them or those around them.
